My poster about “How to be a good digital citizen” shows a group of friends learning how to be cyberwise on their devices and from books during a slumber party. The friends are scrolling on their Instagram and sharing and discussing the messages they have learned. The main messages are to respect the privacy of yourself and others, balance screen time with other healthy activities like sports, reading and family time, communicate respectfully like you would want to be treated yourself, access appropriate websites, respect copyright and to have the courage to report cyberbullies when online.
After investigating what being a good digital citizen was, I’ve chosen what I think are four key points to help other kids easily understand how to be a good digital citizen.
I’ve used Canva to create my entry, as well as using stock images that are marked as free to reuse.
